St'át'imc People: Xaxli'p (also known as the Fountain Band) is a member nation of the St'át'imc Nation, speaking Northern St'át'imcets — a Salish language with deep roots in the interior plateau of British Columbia. The name Xaxli'p refers to their traditional village near Lillooet.

Population: Xaxli'p First Nation has approximately 600 registered members, with community members residing both on and off reserve in the Lillooet area and across BC.

Location: Located near Lillooet, BC along the Fraser River, Xaxli'p's traditional territory spans the dramatic canyon landscapes, semi-arid benchlands, and river valleys of the St'át'imc homeland.

Culture & Language: The community is actively working to revitalize the Northern St'át'imcets language and uphold traditional values including respect for the land, salmon stewardship, and intergenerational knowledge sharing.
